A new procedure in the Czech Republic: laser liposuction!

Laser-assisted liposuction, known as "LipoStructure" in the United States, continues to grow in popularity. Even Britney Spears has used this procedure to create new curves on her body. Why is laser liposuction so popular? What advantages does it offer?
How does it work?
Laser liposuction is used either independently or, as we offer it at Asklepion, as a combination of classic tumescent liposuction and skin tightening by laser. The physician first infuses the tissue with a special solution, which the cannula then sucks up along with fat cells. The laser then comes into use. The laser filament is guided to the hypodermis and the tissue is strongly heated from below, thanks to which the collagen and the connective structures of the skin are stretched, smoothed out, and reattached to the tissue.
Why utilize a laser?
Laser liposuction offers a number of advantages over classic liposuction: the laser eliminates the necessity of wearing the bandages typically used in classic liposuction to correctly shape the skin – the laser stretches and then reattaches the skin.
The laser seals damaged blood vessels in the hypodermis, preventing the formation of the bruises typically seen when classic liposuction is used.
The laser forms better contours in the treated area than can be achieved through the mere suction of fat. The laser likewise reduces the risk of uneven skin.
When should the laser be used?
The laser method combined with classic liposuction has proven to be ideal, for example, with out-patient procedures in which only one area is treated (e.g. outer thighs, hips, double chins, etc.). The procedure can then be performed using only local anaesthesia and afterwards the client goes home without the need for hospitalization.
Laser liposuction is also useful in areas where healing after classic liposuction is typically extremely painful. These areas include the neck and face, where the laser seals damaged fine nerves, thus reducing recovery pain.
