Freckles (pigmented lesions)
freckles, pigmented spots, are small or bigger lesions of pigment on the skin. Their origin is affected by genetic predisposition and the effects of sun rays, which force the cells, melanocytes, to produce skin pigment, melanin, which protects the complexion against ultraviolet rays. The browny pigmentation can also result as a consequence of skin burn, inflammation, contraceptive pill, hormonal imbalance, and aging.
In Askelpion the main rule is that a doctor has to diagnose each freckle or other pigmented lesion. Experienced dermatologists have available as their helpers highly intelligent computers, such as DermoGenius. If there is the smallest suspicion about the lesion a histological sample is taken for examination.
There are ways how to remove the spots with depigmentation creams (e.g. Neostrata, Inklem), by chemical peeling and with the help of machines. The latter are widely represented in Asklepion.
Ellipse Flex
This machine is used mostly for the removal of minor pigmentation. It is useful for problems like age spots on hands and the upper chest area (décolletage). At least two sessions are necessary for their complete removal. The method is very gentle, freckles darken, then become lighter and disappear.
AlexLAZR
This laser is a master of any pigmented lesion removal, including age spots. In a fraction of a second a shot of twenty million watts hits the pigmented lesions and disintegrates melanin into minute particles which are removed with help of white cells and in ten days all remnants are absorbed by the body tissues. This guarantees nearly 100% results during the first session. The treated areas can be desensitised by Emla cream before the procedure.
Vbeam
For age related pigmentations we use laser Vbeam which is known as the famous „Fountain of ever lasting youth” and not only removes the pigment but also the small vennules and rejuvenates the skin. After the therapy it is necessary to protect the skin against the sun for about three months. We offer in Asklepion for this protection a variety of creams named Photoderm, with high UV filter and suitable for all types of complexion.
If the client ignores our advice and exposes skin to sun without any protection the therapy is not permanent and has to repeated. The client can try our therapy with minimal payment to see if results will satisfy their expectations.
