Striae, stretch marks
Striae are small scar like lines in the skin, which are formed not by surface injury but by interruption, cracking of elastic filaments inside the skin. They appear at times, when the skin is stretched as e.g. in pregnancy or when the weight is suddenly increased. In men they can appear as a complication of sudden increase of muscle bulk in e.g. those who use gym excessively. They are most frequently found on the abdomen, hips, thighs, and the buttocks, sometimes on the breasts.

There is no known method in the world to eliminate striae completely.
It is recommended that clients prevent their striae formation in different ways such as by special creams, e.g. Bepanthene Plus, which helps skin grow and inhibits cracking.
The other option is a variety of cosmetic body programmes, Orlane and Decleor, which are used to recover the elasticity and resistance of skin.
If striae appear, it is appropriate to start treatment with biostimulation lasers, which help healing. The repeated sessions with biostimulation laser help the striae to whiten more quickly not to be red or deep.
If they become red the best treatment is laser Vbeam. This instrument leads to coagulation within minute vessels inside the lesion and helps to loose colour. In addition it also remodels these striae.
The older pale striae can be treated with another lasers Smoothbeam and GentleYAG, which change collagen structure and often nearly removes any signs of these lesions.
The condition is improved by vacuum massage with body machines called Dermosonic and Aerosonic. The specialists in Asklepion will recommend some of these programmes, which in association with those machines can fight striae.
